History
When the charity was launched in 1999 by Richard Jackson, the activities were run by a volunteer fundraising committee supported by a part-time administrator. During that time 24 gardens were completed and voluntary income and Gifts in Kind were successfully raised within the gardening industry.
During 2008 the HTA took over the day-to-day administration of the charity to support it through a period of fundamental change.
In September 2008 Deborah Skillicorn and Helen North took over as Joint CEOs to develop and implement a new fundraising strategy. In 2010 Helen North left the charity and Deborah Skillicorn took on the role of Director of Fundraising and Marketing. Deborah is supported by Sonia White as Marketing Manager and Sarah Lioveri, Charity Manager. Two further volunteers are integral to the develpment plan of the fundraising delivery.
The Garden Project Manager is John Adkins who has been with Greenfingers from the beginning and who oversees all elements of the gardens.
Greenfingers made the commitment to a long term permanent office in Beaconsfield in December 2009, and since moving into its first permanent home has grown successfully and become much more sustainable.
