Acorns Children's Hospice in Birmingham had been waiting for their garden for a long time before with kind support from Webbs of Wychbold, RWENpower and Hozelock, Greenfingers managed to raise all the funding needed.
With only a small area of scrub grass to act as the sole outdoor space for the children and families at Acorns, the strong need for these gardens was clearly evident. Clare Matthews was again able to provide Greenfingers with her expertise (all donated - thank you Clare!) and has developed two wonderful garden designs to support both the Quiet garden and a more boisterous Family Garden.
With Country Lane Landscapes now onsite, both excessive rain and snow have hampered the completion of both gardens.
Volunteer support from Npower and Hozelock should see the planting finished by the end of February.
