Hope House: Tranquil & Sensory Gardens - nr. Oswestry
Return to map
Whilst Hope House had some lovely gardens, both the Tranquil Garden and Sensory beds were in desperate need of some TLC!
Students from the Welsh College of Horticultural in Mold supported this project, through design and labour, and helped to introduce new and interesting ideas to the gardens, including a snowflake garden and a sensory colour wheel.
By paving the areas around the raised sensory beds, children in wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties could now gain easy access to the beds to enjoy the vibrant planting introduced as part of the work.
The Tranquil Garden was tidied and 'buffed up' to bring out its character. Improved planting around the area enhanced its peaceful atmosphere to make it again a pleassant area to support bereaved families.
